I love nitocris. There’s nothing quite like it. It’s the one I always go back to. It’s a blend of two herbs: coriander and cilantro. It’s a beautiful-looking blend that smells like it’s been freshly picked. It’s the perfect blend of green, bright green, and fresh-tasting and fresh.
There’s a bit of a catch though. You need to grow your own coriander and cilantro first. This is an exception, though, because the only way to get these herbs is to visit a farm in your area. I don’t know about you, but I actually prefer to eat our herbs fresh.
To be fair, I do wonder if there’s anything we can learn from the other herbs. It’s possible that cilantro really is the best herb for cooking. But I think its safe to say that coriander is in a class all its own. I mean, I could certainly ask my mom to grow some of those in my back yard, but I probably shouldn’t.
Actually, cilantro is really quite good for cooking. My mom makes it just for me, and it’s one of the things that I like most about her. It has a delicate, slightly sweet flavor that complements the other herbs I cook with.
The reason I ask this is because I’ve always been convinced that cooking is the most important thing in life. It’s such a great thing to do, right? My sister’s always been on top of everything else, so I just can’t help her with that.
