I have a confession to make. I’m a vodka drinker, and I don’t usually have cocktails on the weekends.
For those of you who don’t know, vodka is a type of spirit made from fermented grain mash and distilled water. The name comes from the Slavic word for vodka, vil or vlak, which is the root of the word vodka. A vodka drinker is someone that drinks vodka regularly.
While I think vodka is a fine drink to have on the weekend, I personally detest vodka cocktails and have never been one to partake in them. I can still manage to get some vodka in my system, but it is very, very unpleasant when you consume it and it burns your throat.
Now, I’m not exactly certain what causes vodka to burn your throat. The reason I have this opinion is because in my house, a vanilla vodka cocktail has been on my menu for the last few years. I don’t know if it has anything to do with the fact that I drink vodka or if it is because the vanilla vodka flavor just seems to me to be too strong.
My opinion is definitely that it is the vanilla vodka flavor that just seems to make my throat burn. Anyways, I just wanted to share this with you. I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have.
