I asked her what she said about tarek, and to her, it doesn’t matter.
Tarek (Tarek Senn) is a “zombie killer” that uses his killing to pay his debts to God. The first time we meet him, he has been turned into a vat of flesh and blood. He’s got a gun and his brain is on the verge of being harvested from his body.
Senn’s a very powerful being, and he is definitely a threat to the people of Blackreef, but he is still a threat to himself. One of the things tarek is good at is creating new pathways, so when he is given enough time to complete his mission, he might change the path he took and his killing could be a little more merciful. I find it a little hard to believe that this being has not been able to learn from his mistakes.
For a guy who has shown himself to be a very capable fighter, tarek is very slow with his responses to events. When the news of the Visionaries’ deaths gets broadcasted, he is apparently a bit confused and a bit panicked. I can picture him walking his way to the area of the killing, looking around for his weapon, and thinking, “I guess I won’t be able to kill these Visionaries now.
Now he’s off the island, and the whole time he’s been on the island, he’s just trying to make a living. He has no idea what’s going on here either, so he seems to be really good at what he’s doing. I’ve never seen anything like this before.
Christine is a bit of a wild card in this game. She has a certain level of expertise in the way of special forces operations and she is also the head of the Blackreef Island Protection Force, which is sort of an offhand name for the Blackreef Security Force, which is just the security force that is guarding the island.
The island has been under some kind of attack recently, and while she’s not sure what it is, she’s pretty sure it has something to do with the Visionaries. These Visionaries seem to have their own special forces units that can get into trouble any time. They are also apparently the only people on the island who can heal themselves.
So what’s the deal with these Visionaries and these islands? Christine believes it has something to do with a mysterious island called Blackreef. This island is known to be a portal to whatever’s happening on other islands. It is also rumored to have some kind of hidden power, and the Visionaries are supposedly the only ones who can get through it. The Visionaries have been trying to get through this island for centuries.
We don’t know for sure exactly what’s behind this island, but our guess is that it’s a portal to the city of Blackreef.
