Even more impressively, they were the first to use the construction technique of ‘dry stone’. Their stone was wetted with a mixture of clay, water, and lime, and then hardened by drying. This process took about 5 days. The result was a stone that was durable, strong, and waterproof.

We stumbled upon a website that was a little more informative. It has a map of the ancient Persian Empire, as well as the site of the site in question (Kafara). It looks like it is located somewhere in Asia, but we can’t determine its exact location.
For some reason, the image on this site was not very familiar, but it was a good match for what we were looking for. We are not 100% sure where it is, but it has an interesting name, and a site that is part of the same domain.

The Persians were a people of ancient central and southern Iran. The vast majority of what we know about them came from their great empire which stretched from the Euphrates River to the Caspian Sea. The Persians were also known for their tolerance of different religions. This is seen in their building traditions, which are seen in the Perso-Bactrian culture. If you have an idea for a site that is similar to this one, please let me know what you think.
I’ve never seen a Persian building that looks so cool: the way it is integrated into the architecture, the size, the placement, etc. It also looks like it’s an odd blend of old and new, but I’m not sure it counts as ancient. The Persians apparently used a lot of stone, but it’s the sort of architecture that’s rare in the world.
I think its interesting how the Persians integrated the most ancient type of architecture with the most modern. Their buildings look amazing, but they’re also massive and very very ancient. However, this is only a small selection of the buildings that are similar to this one.
