We get the idea that Kahneman is saying that humans have the ability to be self-aware, but it’s not clear whether Kahneman is saying that we should consider ourselves to be self-aware during those times we think of ourselves as self-aware.

In the book, Kahneman says that we are able to be self-aware in certain limited circumstances. As an example, Kahneman says that we can easily be self-aware in the time we think of ourselves as self-aware. But its also clear from the book that Kahneman is saying that we can be self-aware in many ways, but that the time we think of ourselves as self-aware is one of those times.

Well, a good example of when we think that we are self-aware is in the moment we wake up in the morning. We wake up, we think about ourselves, and we think about our day’s activities. We then ponder how we should be behaving, and how we should feel. We decide that we’re going to be more aware, and in a few hours we are. We make that decision and we think about that decision.
