As far as I can tell, the game is not really about church and cultism. I also don’t think the game is about the wedding of the year, at least not in that way. The church is a religious organization that is trying to find a way to bring Phillip back to life, but it is not about the wedding of the year or anything else. The game does not reveal much about the reasons behind Phillip’s choice to seek out a particular town to perform the ceremony.
To be honest, I was not at all expecting that to be the game’s theme. I just thought it was a cool idea to have a chapel on the island. If you’re looking to get a feel for the game, it looks like the church is a pretty unique place.
