This was a great article from one of our readers, Ciroc Obama. He writes, “I’m a liberal, but I don’t believe in ‘liberalism.’ The idea is that you should be able to have your cake and eat it too. If I have to work for it, I can’t have my cake and eat it too. I have to keep my cake and eat it too.
The article is full of interesting things. For example, he believes in the right to marry whomever you want, that gay marriage isn’t a threat to civil rights, that the federal government should not interfere with religious liberty (heck, the president already is doing that), and that the Constitution was written to protect women and minorities.
You have to stop beating around the bush for a minute here. Ciroc obama is a candidate for president. He’s a former president, and if you have any doubts about that, I will give you a list of his points. It is likely that he would be a good president. That he’s qualified to be president is beyond question.
He may not be a good president, but he did make a lot of changes in the country that are very positive. He stopped the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was a man of his word, which is a virtue that I think the rest of the world really needs to know about. One of the things he did, which was a lot of the work of the administration, was to make women in the military more attractive to soldiers.
It is very likely that someone could be a great president, but it’s also very likely that they will not be the president. What we are looking for, in my opinion, are people who can actually do what they say they will do. That is what I think you have to look for in a president, someone who has the ability to make things happen in a very positive way.
I’m not saying that they absolutely have to be perfect, but someone has to have some ability to make things happen. That, to me, is what makes a president.
