The general idea behind decorating houses is to make the structure look like it is made out of materials, so you have a lot of bricks and mortar, but also a lot of concrete or steel. In the Netherlands, it looks a lot like a house. It’s a pretty big deal when you think of it.
The problem is that the most commonly used building materials are not made to last. Most of the time you have to buy bricks, but not all of them.
