This is me talking about the father’s day cocktail. It’s a drink that I’ve been making for a long time (perhaps since junior high school) and I would be remiss if I didn’t share the recipe with you. The dad’s day cocktail is one of the most simple and easy recipes there is.
As a reminder of the origins of this drink, I decided to look it up in the old internet recipe book. The book’s called “The Modern Schoolman’s Book of Cocktails” and it’s been around since the year 2000. It’s an all-purpose recipe book that’s about a billion pages long. Its a great resource to see how to make a drink that you can’t find anywhere else.
The recipe says to use vodka, club soda and lime juice, and it goes on to explain that you mix all these ingredients together and that its a simple one-step process. You can make it with your own ingredients if you want too. There aren’t recipes in the book to explain the process, so it’s up to you if you want to make your own cocktail. I also found a recipe I made last year for this drink.
You only have to use vodka for the recipe, and you can always mix the stuff together with some of the ingredients. If you have vodka in the recipe, you can add it to the vodka to make the cocktail you want. I found a recipe in the book that uses a small batch of vodka, and all the ingredients listed are optional.
