This is a great video, and I’m glad I found it. I’m not sure that it will stand up in my book.
I definitely think a video like this would actually be a great addition to any holiday playlist, but I was not sure how well it would hold up on its own. I don’t think it’s the best example of the kind of video I’m talking about, but there’s one I found the most interesting. It’s a commercial where an elf plays with a Christmas wreath in a toy store and then throws it across the room.
That Christmas wreath commercial is actually a short film (well, at least that’s what they call it on tv). The elf is actually a man and he plays with a wreath made of Christmas lights, and then throws it across the room. It’s not exactly a commercial, but it’s not really an example of video art either. The whole commercial is made to look like a video-game, and it’s full of toys and Christmas-related references.
I think I have a better video art example than this, but this one is all about a wreath. A wreath made of Christmas lights is a pretty typical thing in video art. However, this elf is playing with it and throwing it across the room just because. And that doesn’t really count as video art, because video art can be a lot more than that. It can be a lot more than throwing a wreath across the room.
I like this commercial because it makes it look like the elf was actually a real elf. I think the idea is that a real elf would just be happy to have a wreath made of Christmas lights. Since this elf is also a wreath maker, it makes it look as if he is truly happy with this toy. But it is also important that this elf is a complete jerk.
This commercial is hilarious because it is filled with some of the worst jokes ever, like this one where the elf says he doesn’t like getting his face painted. I would love to see what the elves’ faces would look like without the wreaths. That would just be gross.
